Use It Or Lose It is a brand-new eight-part series which reunites former sports stars with the teams of their youth for one last game. With diet and fitness issues to the fore, old friendships and rivalries will reinstate themselves as everyone gets to know each other all over again.
Former Ireland rugby captain Mick Galwey has the distinction of being the only person to win All-Ireland honours in both Gaelic Football and Rugby. In this programme Mick is returning to his roots in the form of Gaelic Football and Currow GAA club in Co. Kerry. We meet Mick’s former midfield partner and former Kerry minor, Tim Brosnan. Tim tries his best to keep fit but with a young family and busy work schedule the pounds have crept on, he needs to work out a schedule and put the effort in if he is to improve in time for the match.
With the help of Dr Cian O’Neill and Nutritionist Noreen Roche, Tim and the team have only six weeks to regain their fitness levels and change their lifestyles before the big game. Can the team pull together to regain their former glories? Can age beat experience? Will they be fit enough to last the duration?
Other former sports stars in the series are soccer legend, Niall Quinn, former Cork All-Star, Colin Corkery, International soccer star, Ronnie Whelan, former basketball International, Jerome Westbrook, and rugby greats Tony Ward and Fiona Steed.
