Season 4 Episode 12 – Keefe
While wearing his late cousin Jimmy’s bunker jacket, Tommy secretly helps save Mike from the mistakes of his new hard-drinking crew. As Sean sees that he’s not cut out to be an alcoholic, Franco cannot shake his feelings for Natalie.
****************************************************
When Mike is transferred to a new crew with a reputation for drinking on the job, Tommy decides to take some measures to keep the former probie out of trouble. After secretly slipping into the firehouse, he dons the bunker jacket that once belonged to his late cousin, Jimmy, and then hides on the truck to join Mike and his crew. Meanwhile, as Lou discovers that ending his relationship with Cousin Mike’s lusty girlfriend is going to be harder than he thought, Natalie confronts Franco about using her brother to spy on her, but still leaves the door open for reconciliation.
After complaining to Val that their relationship is about nothing other than sex, Tommy gets a call from the bank regarding some charges on the credit card he gave Colleen. While Colleen admits to using the card to pay for her boyfriend’s time in a recording studio, Tommy points out that he also used it to buy an expensive diamond engagement ring. And when Tommy confronts him, Tony admits that he bought it for the girl he is planning to marry – not for Colleen. Meanwhile, after Lou and Cousin Mike put his alleged alcoholism to the test, Sean is shocked to wake up the following morning in bed with an unattractive woman. And though a night out with Black Shawn lands Franco in bed with a beautiful girl, it also helps him see how much he misses Natalie.
Continuing to sneak off on calls with Mike’s crew, Tommy manages to save the hard-drinking firefighters from making a fatal mistake. And though Tommy carefully avoids being recognised, some of the firefighters are certain that they saw Jimmy Keefe’s ghost. Finally, despite the fact Tommy saved her from a doomed relationship, Colleen is still angry that he interfered. And while Chief Feinberg is upset over his conduct with Beth, Tommy has sex with a woman as he is saving her from a burning building.
