THE LATE LATE SHOW

The 46th season of The Late Late Show comes to the end this week and once again it’s been a hugely successful series with guests such as Bono, Elle McPherson, and Russell Brand appearing on the show along with musical acts such as Leona Lewis and Michael Buble and topical debate about the issues of the day.

As always the series plans to finish on a high note and this Friday’s show is no exception with a particular Eurovision theme to the show. The Irish public will be asked to select Ireland’s entry to this year’s Eurovision Dance Contest which will take place in September in Glasgow. This is the second year of the contest and last year Ireland succeeded in coming 3rd thanks to a brilliant performance by Nicola Byrne and Mick Donegan.

On the show four couples, each made up of a well-known face and a professional dancer, will battle it out to secure a place in this year’s competition, and the public will be asked to vote for their favourite performance.

Also on the show to commorate the 10-year anniversary of the sad death of comedy legend Dermot Morgan, his family and friends will be joining us in studio to talk about his life.

Finally this year’s Eurovision winner will be flying in to perform their winning song.
