This Easter more teams will battle it out against each other on Quizone.
In each show three teams between the ages of 9 and 11 will compete in this mental and physical challenge. In every round the teams must nominate a runner, who must race through the zone while the rest of the team back in the search room are also up against the clock to try to find an answer using the quizone search engine and a library of reference books. The quicker the runner makes it through the zone, and the faster their team has an answer, the more points they stand to win.
This time the race has gotten tougher – there are blocks in place on the upper levels of the zone that runners can use to shut off their route to the other players and stop them from getting through. But the real tension for the teams comes in the second last round when the internet in the search rooms is shut down and contestants have to look for an answer using just the books, which is no easy task when the clock is ticking!
Keeping a close eye on everything that happens in the zone is referee Jamie Darling. The teams are competing for MP3 players, and the team that tops the league table at the end of the series will be rewarded with their own laptops.
