Episode 208
Sunday, December 30th
Jimmy freaks out when he wakes up and realises he spent the night at Ali’s apartment. He goes home and throws a blanket over himself on the couch, pretending that he came in late and didn’t want to wake Robin.
Adam lies to Roisin that Mark only kissed her to get back at him and bragged about it afterwards. Roisin is really upset.
Robin tries to get close to Jimmy but storms out when he rebuffs her advances. He calls Ali and asks if he can see her.
Roisin and the gang have a few drinks. She’s still upset over Mark and sends him a drunken text before taking two ecstasy tablets from Doug, and heading to McCoys.
Suzanne calls Jimmy to come and collect Robin when she’s had way too much to drink. He leaves Ali’s apartment to go and get her and refuses to engage in a discussion about their marriage when Robin drunkenly accuses him of not wanting her anymore.
Maeve leaves to go to Berlin. She and Leo share a passionate kiss before she jumps in the taxi and heads to the airport.
Roisin goes into the toilet in McCoys to throw up and passes out. Mark arrives and rushes into her while Bob instructs Gina to call an ambulance as they try to revive an unresponsive Roisin.
Episode 1
Tuesday 1st January
Roisin is sent home from hospital after it is confirmed that there is no long term damage from the drugs and alcohol cocktail she consumed. Her Dad worries, but Gemma reassures him that she just tried it out and isn’t into drugs.
Darren arrives home for the wedding, but Rita is a bit down when he tells her Yvonne and Louise couldn’t afford to come back for the big day.
Ken and Deirdre go shopping for baby paraphernalia and discuss names for the baby.
Robin tries to talk to Jimmy in McCoys out of earshot of the rest of the family. He doesn’t answer when she asks him does he love her, so she leaves on the pretence of going to sort out a band for the wedding and goes to see Gavin.
Roisin’s Dad, Derek, goes to see Bob in McCoys. He berates him for serving Roisin drink and tells him his next stop is the Guards. Damien is shocked when he hears the conversation and realises Roisin took ecstasy.
Damien confronts Mark about Roisin and asks him if he took drugs too. Mark tells him he can’t win with him and that he’s not into drugs.
Episode 2
Wednesday 2nd January
Rory goes to Roisin’s house to talk to her about where she got the drugs. She tells him she doesn’t remember, but after she’s gone her father urges her to tell the truth because he’s after the dealer and not the buyer.
Doug worries when he hears from Mark that the Guards are going to talk to him about what happened to Roisin. He asks him not to tell them about him.
Bela arrives home when Rita fails to show up in Rainbows and finds her lying on the couch. She tells him she felt funny and dizzy and had to lie down, but she refuses to be checked out by a doctor.
Jo assumes that Dermot has planned a surprise party for her birthday and is eager to get back to the house when they go out for dinner, until Dermot produces champagne and cake in the restaurant and she assumes this is her surprise. She is unaware however that he has a grand party planned for later in the week.
Episode 3 – part one
Thursday 3rd January
Roisin calls around to Halpins with a card for Damien. She tells Mark the Guards are calling around to her and she feels pressured to tell them where she got the pills. Mark calls Doug for her and tells him that Roisin is going to have to give his name to the Guards. Roisin then admits to him that Adam spread a rumour that he told everyone about their kiss, but she quickly realises Mark is innocent when she sees his reaction. Mark rings Adam who calls around and apologises to him and tells him he’ll tell Roisin the truth.
Damien and Mark share a moment and a few words about their mother and their sister Laura before they leave the house for the church. Meanwhile Suzanne is a bag of nerves while getting ready for the big day.
Roisin tells Rory that Doug gave her the ecstasy tablets, but that he’s not a dealer. Rory continues to Doug’s house to question him and Doug gives him a description of Gavin, pin pointing him as the dealer.
Vincent gives Gavin the heads up about what happened to Roisin and that Rory has been sniffing around. Gavin assures him he didn’t sell anything to her.
Suzanne and Damien get married.
Episode 3 – part two
Friday 4th January
Suzanne and Damien enjoy a fine reception. Mark makes a heartfelt speech full of friendly jibes at Damien and refers to his mother and how proud she was of both of them. Meanwhile Robin cries alone in the ladies about the state of her marriage.
Robin and Jimmy dance and Robin asks him to tell him what she’s done to deserve the treatment he’s giving her. She tells him it’s destroying her that he ignores her and doesn’t want her. He leaves her alone on the dance floor and Bela and Rita notice her scurrying away to the toilet alone.
Rory goes into McCoys and asks if they know anyone fitting the description Doug gave him of Gavin. Vincent realises who it is and leaves a frantic message for Gavin to call him.
Rita takes Jimmy aside and asks him what’s going on with Robin. Just as he sees Ali arriving in Rita collapses and Jimmy shouts for someone to call an ambulance. The ambulance leaves and Jimmy makes it clear to Robin he doesn’t want her coming with them. The Doyles head to the hospital and Gavin offers to bring Robin home.
Rory quizzes Ali about someone fitting the description of the drug dealer, and Ali tells him about Gavin.
The Doyles hold vigil in the hospital. Bela is told that Rita is critical but stable and 24 hours will tell.
