Episode 9 – Do You Regret What We Did?
As developments hurtle the Frobisher case towards David Connor’s murder, Gregory Malina emerges from hiding to apologise for placing Katie in a difficult position. Still unaware that he is Frobisher’s ruthless accomplice, Tom and Ellen press George Moore (aka The Executive) for anything he can provide to help Patty, while Ray Fiske hires a witness consultant to coach Arthur for the tough questions that are sure to come. And as Patty scrutinises the record from Frobisher’s criminal trial for weaknesses she can exploit, the Executive prods Fiske to settle and avoid a trial that threatens to bring everyone down, and then turns around and offers some leads to strengthen Patty’s case.
With Lila Demeo continuing to stalk David, Moore encourages Ellen and Tom to look into a twenty-five-year-old fatal car accident involving Frobisher and a young woman in Virginia. As evidence that Frobisher paid off the dead girl’s parents in order to cover up his own complicity in the accident provides grounds to impeach his credibility, Gregory pleads for Katie to accept his apology.
Meanwhile, after David refuses her advances, Lila tells Ellen that they are having an affair. But when confronted by Ellen, David insists that he is being stalked by a former patient’s mentally unstable granddaughter.
