Episode 156
Sunday, September 30th

Bob bends Renee’s ear about enticing a younger clientele into McCoys.  She is somewhat unenthusiastic.  He approaches Orla and arranges to meet with her to get some ideas.

Byrne warns Leo off any further action after they looked into the man he pursued the night before. The man turned out to have a watertight alibi for the night Lana disappeared.

Keith refuses to drop the argument he and Niamh had before, and she refuses to apologise.  Orla tells her that she treated him badly, should realise that he’s nothing to be ashamed of, and apologise.

Byrne calls in and asks Leo to go for a drink.  Leo agrees, and Byrne tells him that eventually he’ll be taken off Lana’s case, but wants Leo to know that he’ll never forget about it, and will always try to help.

Niamh eventually tries to talk her way out of it with Keith, but he won’t give in until she apologises.  Niamh storms out, but in a moment of better judgement returns to Keith’s place, apologises, and they make up!

Heather gets her bag back, but without the manuscript.  Pierce tells a shocked Cleo that he knows Heather is tracing him through her book and the only thing helping him is that she doesn’t realise he knows.

Episode 157
Tuesday, October 2nd

Clive arrives back from Bermuda, where he and Eunice have been visiting Hughie.  Clive tells Heather that Eunice is staying over there with Hughie for a while, but he had to come home because he couldn’t handle the heat!

Pierce manages to get into the building where Heather lives, intercepts a courier, and steals her edited manuscript, in an effort to find out what happens to ‘his’ character.

Tracey is a ball of stress as her wedding day approaches.  Carol and Ali do their best to calm her nerves as her dress doesn’t fit and she gets upset because she has no family around her.

Bob complains to Renee about the lack of customers in McCoys.  She advises him not to stress, but he grows increasingly impatient.

Heather is stunned when she calls the courier company looking for her manuscript, and they tell her it was signed for by a Bill Harkness, the name of one of the characters in the book.  She immediately suspects Pierce.

Clive hears from Eunice that Hughie had a fall and broke his leg, so she’ll be staying on in Bermuda until he’s on the mend.

Episode 158
Wednesday, October 3rd

Clive interrupts two burglars, Decco and Zumo Bishop, in his home.  They steal some jewellery he has for the stall, and flee when he confronts them.  Det Sgt Byrne calls around and tells him that they have suspects who have committed similar robberies around the area.

Tracey heads off for a relaxation day at a spa with Carol, but frets about tomorrow’s wedding as Dominic tries to calm her down.

Robin tells Jimmy that she got accepted on her course.  She tells him that trying for a baby is still the most important thing to her.

Malachy asks Cleo if she’s seen Pierce because he didn’t turn up to the Shelter last night.  She hasn’t, and they worry about where he could be.  Malachy tells Heather he’ll ask Det Sgt Byrne to keep an eye out for him.

Tracey enjoys a night in with Carol, Ali, Kylie and a James Bond DVD, while Damien brings Dominic to McCoys where he drinks a little more than he should.

Clive is nervous staying in the house alone after the burglary, and barricades the door.

Dominic arrives home from the pub and meets Tracey’s sister, Frances, waiting outside the door.  He invites her in to stay the night.

Episode 159
Thursday, October 4th

Tracey is over the moon when Dominic calls and puts Frances on the phone to her, and she realises she’ll be at her wedding.

Cleo calls Lara, who comes to meet her.  Cleo gives her money and asks her to look out for Pierce in all the usual homeless hang outs.

The same thugs that broke into Clive’s house beat up Pierce on the street after he refuses to show them the manuscript he is clinging tightly too.

Tracey and Dominic get married in a registry office.  Tracey tells Frances that it’s the best wedding present to have her there.

Leo goes along to the afters of Tracey’s wedding for a while, but leaves quite quickly.  Jimmy and Robin go along too, but Robin isn’t really into the spirit of things and urges Jimmy to leave early too.  He eventually leaves with her, but not before he’s danced with Ali.

Lara comes across Pierce huddled in a doorway and sees his injuries.  She goes to find Cleo and brings her to him.  Cleo is distraught to see he’s been beaten up, and he refuses to go to a hospital or the shelter.  She brings him to a safer place and gives him blankets and a flask to keep him warm.

Renee tells Christy that she thinks Clive is nervous since the break in, so Christy brings him home for dinner, and asks him to help him out in the shop and stay over a few nights after the late shift.  Clive is delighted to help.
