Darragh Maloney presents coverage of Hunky Dorys Fight Night live from the Point Theatre as unbeaten Dubliner Bernard Dunne defends his European Super Bantamweight title against European No.3 Reidar Walstad. Walstad already boasts an amateur victory over Dunne which was one of only eleven suffered by Dunne that saw him rack up 119 wins in his amateur career. The legendary Jimmy Magee and Dave ‘Boy’ McAuley will provide the commentary.

 

MOTO GP LIVE – SUN 24 JUNE AT 12.30PM ON RTÉ ONE

RTÉ’s comprehensive coverage of the Moto GP season continues with live coverage of the Nickel & Dime British Grand Prix from Donington Park. Peter Collins and Eddie Laycock provide the commentary.  

 

THE SUNDAY GAME LIVE – SUN 24TH JUNE AT 1.30PM ON RTÉ TWO

Michael Lyster is joined by Colm O’Rourke and Joe Brolly for all the action as Galway take on Leitrim in the Connacht Senior Football Championship semi-final live from Carrick-on-Shannon at 2.00pm, with commentary by Jim Carney and Tony Davis. This will then be followed by live coverage and analysis of Dublin’s clash with Offaly at 4.00pm from Croke Park, with commentary by Ger Canning and Kevin McStay. Also featured will be live coverage of the Round 1 All Ireland Football Qualifier draw as Joanne Cantwell reports on all the results from Carrick-on-Shannon. 

 

THE SUNDAY GAME LIVE – SUN 24TH JUNE AT 3.15PM ON RTÉ ONE

As Limerick and Tipperary battle it out again for the third time, presenter Darragh Maloney will be joined by Cyril Farrell and Michael Duignan for live coverage of the replay of this Munster Senior Hurling quarter-final at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. The game will kick off at 3.30pm with commentary by Marty Morrissey and Anthony Daly.

 

THE SUNDAY GAME – SUN 24TH JUNE AT 9.30PM ON RTÉ TWO

Pat Spillane will be joined by Tony Davis, Bernard Flynn, Paul Curran, Peter Finnerty and DJ Carey for reviews and analysis of the day’s GAA action including highlights of Derry v Monaghan in the Ulster Senior Football semi-final in Clones, Leitrim V Galway, Dublin V Offaly and Limerick V Tipperary.

OB SPORT – MON 25TH JUNE AT 8.30PM ON RTÉ TWO

Shane O’Donoghue presents a special programme on the 2007 European Union Boxing Championships which take place at the National Stadium in Dublin this June.

21 nations including Ireland are set to compete with an eleven man Irish squad set to feature among the two hundred boxers. Ireland’s strong medal hopes include Roy Sheehan from St Michael’s Club Athy, Darren Sutherland fom St Saviours OBA and Ken Egan, from Neilstown in Dublin.

The European Union Championships are the last major tournament before the World Championships in Chicago next October which in turn act as one of the qualifiers for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. 

 

THE RALLY REVIEW SHOW – THURS 28TH JUNE AT 12.40AM ON RTÉ TWO

This week’s programme features the UAC Easter International Rally II. Two former Group N Champions, Michael Leonard and Colm Murphy rally through the Sperrin Mountains for the Production Car honours on the second round of the Tarmac Championship.
