Episode 84
Sunday 27th May

Gina gets news that Kira has pleurisy.  She tells Malachy she has to go to England to be with her.

Paul and Fiona go out for lunch.  They talk about James and how he’s coping with his cancer.  Fiona tells Paul she feels isolated from him.

Brian fails to dissuade McAleer from giving the painting contract to Damien.  He tells Damien that he talked McAleer into giving him the job, but Damien is suspicious.

James lies to Fiona telling her his scan was clear.  He then finds out from Professor Clegg that he has cancer in his pancreas and it’s incurable.  He is told he has months to live.

Cleo reads Pierce’s story, but he doesn’t take her constructive criticism very well.

James arrives home drunk and fails to tell Fiona about his true test results.  He sees a picture of her with Paul from the launch of the racing team and worries that she’s still seeing him.

Episode 85
Tuesday 29th May

James asks Fiona to set up their house in Wicklow so that they can move there.

Fiona talks to Brendan and asks her if there is something she should know, but he tells her she has to talk to James.  She cancels her afternoon with Paul.

James calls Ray around to see him.  He tells him his cancer is terminal and he wants to be in Wicklow with Fiona.  He asks Ray to help him make a video for Fiona for after he’s gone, and also asks to see Paul.

Fiona calls John and asks him if he’s heard about his father’s test results.  John says he hasn’t and that he’s coming to Dublin to see him.

Tom puts pressure on Lance to get money from Fiona for him.

James tells Fiona that his cancer isn’t treatable.  She is truly upset and can’t believe he doesn’t have that long left.

Fiona is furious when Lance turns up at the apartment.  She tells him she can’t talk to him and leaves for Wicklow.

Paul goes to see James.  He tells him he knows about his affair with Fiona and asks that Paul not see her until James is gone.  He tells her he wants Fiona to himself until then.  Paul agrees to his request.

Fiona meets Lance.  She gives him money and some jewellery that belonged to James’s first wife.

Fiona feels totally isolated when she meets Paul and he tells her they shouldn’t be with each other until after James’s death.  She tells him that she needs him to get through this, but he tells her they have to respect him.

Episode 86
Wednesday 30th May

John arrives in Dublin and hears the news from Brendan about his father.  He tells Fiona he’ll get him the best care, but Fiona tells him he wants to go home to Wicklow.

Paul tells Jimmy that James Piggott is dying.  Jimmy worries about the future of their business.  John pays them a visit and tells them to stop working on the race team.

James records a message for Fiona on Ray’s camera.  He tells her he’s leaving her the business and the house, and wishes her well with the rest of her life.

Fiona goes to see Paul when she hears that John has been giving orders.  She tells him that she needs him as a friend now.  He tells her it’s impossible and that they can’t see each other.  She leaves in a temper and tells him never to contact her again.

John is hurt when he hears from James that Fiona will be keeping the Dublin business, and the house in Wicklow.  He confronts Fiona, but she tells him all she cares about now is James.

Fiona gets nervous when James tells her he’s meeting the accountant to check out the business accounts.

Jimmy is angry when Paul reveals his affair with Fiona.  Paul tries to tell him that their contract with Piggotts is safe, but Jimmy isn’t so sure, and is angry with him for playing with fire.

During his meeting with the accountant, James discovers Fiona’s offshore company, Island Holdings.  His accountant tells him he signed the cheques for it, and he plays along.

Tom and Lance laugh when Lance reveals to Tom that Fiona is his wife, and James is on his death bed.

Episode 87
Thursday, 31st May

Tom quizzes Lance about Fiona.  Lance explains they got married years ago and when he went to America, she stayed in London, and that it isn’t an issue anymore.

James asks Ray to bring him a package he’s ordered from the bank.  Ray arrives in Wicklow and gives James a package containing copies of the cheques that Fiona has forged.

James tells Ray that he regrets how he treated his son.  He tells him his son was right all along and he didn’t trust him.

Paul tries to talk to Jimmy, but Jimmy is infuriated with him for jeopardising his business.  Robin asks him what he was thinking and he tells her he never thought it would get so complicated.

Fiona meets Sheila and asks her about moving the funds from Island Holdings.  Sheila tells her if she does it in one go, it will be noticed.

James gets a call that confirms that Fiona is the sole beneficiary of the money from Island Holdings.  He tells Ray he’s going to have to change his will.  Ray wonders what’s happened.

Tom tells Lance that once James dies, he’ll be entitled to half of Fiona’s inheritance.  Lance tells him he’s not interested.

Ray buys a brooch from Charlie that Lance sold him.  He plans to give it to Juliet when she’s older, but gives it to Angela to mind for him.

James lashes out at Fiona and tells her he knows all about the money she’s been stealing from him.  He asks how she could betray him when it would all eventually have been hers.  She pleads with him, but he roars at her to leave.
