In the last of the current series of No Frontiers, Kathryn Thomas takes a look at the highlights of the six Celebrity Cities shown earlier in the series and reveals which celebrity reporter has been voted number one by the public.  And most importantly, which lucky viewers has won themselves a chance to report on a luxury city break of their own?

A reminder….

Toulouse
The first celebrity city was Toulouse and who better to begin this new strand than much-loved TV pundit George Hook. Toulouse is a city from which George has reported from on Irish rugby on many occasions but this time he checked out Kathryn’s three must dos while on a short break.

San Sebastian
Off the Rails presenter Pamela Flood took it easy in San Sebastian in Northern Spain. There, she sampled the laid-back culture and sumptuous food of one of Europe’s gourmet capitals.

Budapest
Simon Delaney of Bachelor’s Walk and Chain Reactions, took a direct flight to Budapest. And while it’s known as the spa capital of Europe, Kathryn had other plans for him, making Simon see the sights while standing still, and singing for his supper!

Newcastle
Our Celebrity Cities strand continued with presenter Silé Seoige, who was sent to Newcastle. The city has a reputation for its wild nightlife, and Sile spent her time exploring the sophisticated side to this redeveloped city, from its boutique shopping to its classy cafes. And of course, she delved into the vibrant nightlife.

Brussels
Comedian and actor Alan Short took a trip to Brussels. Alan sampled some of Belgium’s famous beer and took a trip to the beautiful town of Bruges.

Riga
In the final of the Celebrity Cities strand, we sent Derek Mooney to Riga, the capital of Latvia. There he took a well-deserved break, taking a stroll through the beachland area of Jurmala. After examining the city’s wonderful architecture he finished off his trip in style, by dining in the country’s most established restaurant.

With the winners revealed we head for Dublin airport where two lucky viewers will be waiting with anticipation to hear what luxury city they are about to be sent to. We’ll follow the lucky winner as they and Kathryn report from one of the greatest cities in the world. Tune in and find out where!
