Pamela Flood and Caroline Morahan are back on air with a brand new series of Off The Rails – Beat The Stylist!
Some great makeover candidates have been nominated by their friends and family, who think they can do a better job than the professional stylist…
Among this season’s makeover candidates we have a karaoke loving tomboy and a lady who dresses so outrageously her work colleagues just had to nominate her for a makeover. We’ve also got a woman who works as a clown by day – but has no clue how to dress by night; a bride-to-be looking for the perfect dress for her Italian wedding and a busy working mum who has actually gone into meetings with baby puke stains on her suit…
So, they all need our help – and they are all in for great transformations! Charged with the task of creating their new looks are Limerick’s fashion queen Celia Holman Lee, style guru Cathy O’Connor, the funky Graham Cruz and Carlow Image Consultant Marietta Doran. Together with presenters Pamela Flood and Caroline Morahan they will travel to Sligo, Derry, Limerick, Dublin, Wexford and Cork – in their quest of style and fashion!
In the first programme of the series Elizabeth Reynor from Dublin is up for a makeover. She is 47 years old, has lost 12 stone and has gone down 10 dress sizes over the last two years. Her whole life has changed dramatically – she is much more active and energetic, has gone back to work and can go shopping again! But she hasn’t really got her head around her fit new figure and keeps buying clothes that are too big. As a result, her wardrobe is full of boring and dull clothes.
Elizabeth was nominated for a makeover by her friend Vera Baker – who herself lost three stones – and thinks she should dress in colourful and figure-hugging clothes. Vera is up against Limerick’s glamour queen Celia Holman Lee – who no doubt will show Elizabeth how to make the most of her svelte new body!
