Tubridy Tonight will be hitting the road this Christmas and heading south to broadcast live from the Everyman Palace Theatre in Cork on Saturday 23 December. In a first for the top-rating Saturday chat show, Ryan Tubridy and the Camembert Quartet boys, along with the programme’s production team, will broadcast from the Victorian theatre on MacCurtain Street which has been host to a range of acts including Thin Lizzy, The Frames, Niall Tobin, Tommy Tiernan and Ed Harris (starring in Neil LaButes’ Wrecks).
The hit Saturday night show will feature its regular mix of chat, music and audience games – all with a Christmas flavour. Guests for the night are, as always, under wraps, but viewers can look forward to seeing some familiar and much-loved local faces.
Host Ryan Tubridy said: ‘Between the Munster win and Derval O’Rourke’s medal and lots more besides, it made sense to head straight for Cork for our inaugural chat show on tour. I can’t wait!’
The show, now in its third series, is an ongoing hit with viewers, and has gained an increase in its average audience share since this time last year. Ryan’s highlights for the season so far were seeing in action and at close range the all-singing all-dancing David Hasselhoff and finally meeting veteran Hollywood actor Martin Sheen.
