This week Would You Believe presents a profile of Sheikh Shaheed Satardien, a Muslim Imam who calls for the total integration of Muslims into Irish society because he believes they are in danger of isolating themselves and of encouraging fundamentalism.

Are some Irish Muslims being radicalised by Imams preaching violent jihad?

Sheikh Shaheed Satardien believes an extreme version of Islam has taken root here. He fears young Muslims may be attracted to mimic acts of terror they see glorified. He fears for the well being of the growing Irish Muslim community should they fail to integrate into Irish society, accept our democracy and adapt to our way of life.

For voicing these fears he has been shunned and threatened but not yet silenced.
