RTÉ ENTERTAINMENT: It's that time of year again as Late Late host Pat Kenny unwraps another very special Late Late Toy Show.

 

It’s that time of year again. Children (and bigger children) the length and breadth of the country will be getting bathtime out of the way early in preparation for another Late Late Toy Show, this Friday at 9.30 pm, on RTÉ One.

The Late Late Show Toy Show’s dedicated team of researchers started putting in the ground work for this year’s show as far back as last October. Travelling to various toy fairs, the team left no toy unwrapped in their quest to bring parents and kids the best of what’s out there this Christmas. “Viewers won’t be disappointed. We’ve spent a year looking for the best gadgets and toys for the show,” says host Pat Kenny. 

And The Late Late Toy Show’s team of musical scouts have been equally busy. Friday’s special show promises some of the biggest names in the business, and some real kiddies favourites too. “Some big name celebrities will be taking part in the show,” says Pat. 

As always, The Late Late Toy Show set is firmly under wraps. RTÉ staff have been sworn to secrecy on this year’s theme, one of the most closely guarded secrets in Donnybrook. “All the staff of The Late Late Toy Show are sworn to secrecy,” says Pat, “including myself!”

And it seems that even some of RTÉ’s biggest names, due to appear on the show on the night, will not see the final set until host Pat Kenny does the big reveal
