Health Squad, produced by Nemeton Productions in Ring, Co Waterford, and sponsored by Yoplait Essence, helps a young mum suffering from Multiple Sclerosis in this final programme.
Every week presenter Sheana Keane and the squad, nutritionist Paula Mee, holistic practitioner Karen Ward and personal fitness trainer Padraig Murphy, assess each volunteer, and provide them with tailor made advice, therapy and support to help them on the road to a healthier and happier life.
Final programme: Multiple Sclerosis
Debbie Mohan is a 36-year-old single mother from Drogheda. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 7 years ago. Inevitably, her fitness has suffered, but she hasn’t been doing herself any favours with her diet and has put on weight. When the Health Squad team meets Debbie she is preparing to walk the Inca Trail in Peru and has a lot of work to do to get in good physical condition for this tough challenge.
Sheana introduces viewers to a different volunteer each week, as they are put through their paces. As always, Health Squad focuses not only on physical and mental health, but also on the importance of taking control of our own lives.
