NATIONWIDE SUMMER SCHEDULE 2006

It’s a very busy summer for the hugely popular regional news programme, Nationwide, which transmits three times a week (Mondays and Fridays at 7.00pm and a new summer time slot of 6.30pm on Sunday evenings) on RTÉ One. 


 
Presenters Michael Ryan and Mary Kennedy will be visiting people and places all around the country in the next few months and there is a special weekly visit on Fridays to some of the many summer festivals which take place in June, July and August.
 


The Friday Festival programmes start on Nationwide tonight,  (Friday, 30th of June) with the Galway Air Show.


  


 More festival highlights which will be shown on Friday evenings on Nationwide include the Junction 7.01 Festival from Clonmel Co.Tipperary, Killarney Summer fest.,  Cork Week and Boyle Arts Festival.


 


Other events which will be covered by Nationwide in the coming weeks include a special programme on the 25th anniversary of the Apparitions at Medjugorie (Sunday 9th of July) the programme will look at what’s happened in the 25 years since and meet some many Irish people who travel to Medjugorie. The programme will also include an exclusive interview with the visionary Vicka when she visits Ireland this summer.


  


And no summer season of Nationwide would be complete without a visit to the RDS in Dublin for the excitement and colour of its annual Horse Show
