The two London lads and their live band have turned club music into a huge live event. This show was recorded at Europe’s hippest outdoor festival, Benicassim, on the Mediterranean coast near Barcelona. Basement Jaxx in concert at 2005 Benicassim Festival, was recorded by RNE in collaboration with Radio France ‘Le Mouv, for the Eurosonic partnership of the EBU.

As part of Heller and Farley, the legendary English DJ has worked both as a re-mixer and producer, collaborating with artists as diverse as Kylie Minogue, Michael Jackson, Robert Owens, Janet Jackson, U2, Happy Mondays and Lisa Stansfield.
As an individual he has achieved chart success with Big Loe, and produced club dynamite with tracks such as Sputnik and Big Room Drama – he remains one of the world’s top DJs.

If it’s hip and hot then the OC has it on his decks. Former hip hop DJ star of Jazz FM, OC, brings those tunes other shows just don’t know about.

Dave Redmond joins the station for The Early Show from 6 – 7am weekdays on RTÉ 2fm. Dave previously worked the afternoons for Dublin station Q102 having moved there from Wexford’s South East Radio. He moved to the south-east following a spell with East Coast FM in Wicklow.

Aimed at a young audience, the programme is presented by Avril Hoare, with producer Eamonn Falvey and reporter Pat McGrath completing the core line-up. Newsbeat has access to RTÉ reporters and correspondents around the country as well as a long list of contributors across the globe to ensure our audience gets the news it needs.
The programme is driven by listeners with texts and emails generating topics for discussion on a nightly basis and also providing stories for inclusion on the
show. Newsbeat reporters travel around Ireland in search of items of interest to listeners and the programme regularly uses RTÉ’s extensive network of regional studios to broadcast from different locations.
