EASTENDERS
Eastenders follows the daily lives of the residents of Albert Square in London’s East End. This coming Autumn sees the return of the some old favourites including the Mitchell clan to sort out business as well as some new high profile characters who promise to deliver lots more high drama from all the families in the Square.
E.R.
Created by best-selling author Michael Crichton, E.R. – the emergency room of County General Hospital – will continue to enthrall its disciples. Drama, heroism, life-and-death decisions, romance, passion and tears – and that’s just in the first 15 minutes! After an hour, a brandy is in order. It’s one of the perennials.
HOME AND AWAY
In production since September 1988, this classic Australian soap depicts the romances, successes and failures of the people of the town of sun-kissed Summer Bay.
A new series of The Simpsons, and Scrubs will also be broadcast for their legion of fans.
CINE TWO
Cine Two is a dedicated film season which celebrates the best in World Cinema. Offering a selection of award-nominated and award-winning films, the season showcases the best in new talent, diverse themes and compelling stories from across the globe.
FRAME TWO
Frame Two is a dedicated documentary strand, which showcases topical and acclaimed international documentaries from film makers across the globe.
FOR 2006 … Huge favourites from the new crop in 2005 like Desperate Housewives and Lost will return, much to their fans’ relief. Alongside them will be emmy-award winning quality series such as:
THE SOPRANOS
In what is probably it’s final season, the multi Emmy award winning The Soprano’s is back after a one-year hiatus for one final slice of mob life. Exclusively first on RTÉ television.
