OPERA NIGHT Bernard Clarke continues his visit to Vienna State Opera with a performance tonight of Vincenzo Bellini's I Puritani. This production stars John Tessier, Olga Peretyatko, Carlos Alvarez, Jongmin Park, Sorin Coliban, Carlos Osuna and Ilseyar Khayrullova. Marco Armiliato conducts the Vienna State Opera Chorus and Orchestra.
CLASSICAL KIDS Edward Elgar loved to compose as a child and he even wrote music for a play that he performed with his brothers and sisters. Years later, when he was a successful composer, he arranged it for an orchestra calling it his Wand of Youth Suite, and we'll hear it on Sunday.
