Amsterdam born, Swiss based violinist Gwendolyn Masin first came to the attention of the Irish public with a performance on the Late Late Show when she was eleven in 1988. Today she enjoys a busy international career as a performer and a teacher, she has continued her connections with Ireland through regular appearances and a dedication to Irish contemporary composers such as John Buckley, Eric Sweeney and Raymond Deane. Her latest CD, Origin, is a tour de force of string ensemble performances – most of which were arranged by Raymond Deane.
