Bernard Clarke brings us Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor a tragic opera in three acts. Diana Damrau is Lucia, Charles Castronovo is Sir Edgardo, Ludovic Tezier is Lord Enrico Ashton, Taylor Stayton is Lucia’s bridegroom, Kwangchul Youn is a chaplain, Peter Hoare is a huntsman and Rachael Lloyd is Lucia’s maid. This production was recorded in April at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Daniel Oren conducts the Chorus and the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.
