The New York Philharmonic’s first live national radio broadcast took place on October 5th 1930. On that day Erich Kleiber was at the podium in Carnegie Hall. In tonight’s concert Alan Gilbert conducts the New York Philharmonic recorded live at the Avery Fisher Hall at the Lincoln Center in New York. Yefim Bronfman brings us four Piano Concerti by Beethoven.
