“I’ve Got Your Back”, a quiz show where you don’t need to know anything – other than how much your friends or family know!

Each week, young contestants (aged 10-12) will be trying to climb up 8 prize levels on the brand new quiz show “I’ve Got Your Back”.

At each level is a prize, and the higher they go, the better the prize on offer.

At each level, the contestant will get a choice of topics. Once a topic is selected, a question will be asked. Straight forward, right? Well, not quite….

Each contestant will have 4 team mates with them, team mates that they cannot see or talk to. They are friends and family members. And the contestant must decide which of the team mates will answer each question.

So knowing the strengths and weaknesses of the team mates is of critical importance.

As the questions are asked, the audience can see Dad praying he won’t be picked to answer a question on ballet. But will the contestant pick his sister, who is looking very sure of himself?

At any stage they can leave with the prize they have, or they can hand it back and play for something better. But if a team mate gets a question wrong, the contestant leaves empty handed.

Each week 2 contestants will try to climb the prize ladder with the help of their friends and families.

Episode 3:

In the third show of the series 10 year old Aoibhy Ní Chlochartaigh from an Cheathrú Rua, Co. Galway will be taking on the game. Aoibhy goes to Scoil Náisiúnta Mhic Dara, an Cheathrú Rua and is a talented singer, dancer and musician.

With her will be her team:

Her mum, Mali, a complementary therapist. Mali has an adventurous streak – she’s trained with the army, learned to fly a plane and once did a silent retreat for 3 weeks in India. But is she any good at answering questions under pressure?

Brother Cairbre, who is 13 years old. His name is the Irish for “charioteer” and as a true man of the West, he loves nothing more than to take to the Atlantic and do some salt water fishing.

He uncle, Dónal Ó Domhnaill, works in IT and is a big sci-fi and gaming fan. He also likes Zombie films and series’. Let’s hope he gets his questions right and doesn’t leave Aoibhy in the horrors…

Last but not least is Dónal’s daughter (and Aoibhy’s cousin), Sophie. She is 11 years old and like her dad is big into gaming and computers. She also plays the guitar and tin whistle.

Also hoping to win the top prize in the show is 10 year old Josh Holden from Greenhills, Dublin. Josh goes to Bishop Galvin National School in Templeogue and is in 4th Class. Josh is mad into football and plays for Templeogue United.

Hoping to help him up the prize ladder is his team:

His mum, Michelle, who works in retail. She was a professional Irish dancer and toured the world with the show Rhythm Of The Dance.

His friend Conor Synnott, aged 10. Conor also plays for Templeogue United. And when he gets home from training, he practices his tactics on FIFA 16!

Also on the team is Conor’s brother Ross, aged 12. He plays in goals for Templeogue United and is a massive Liverpool fan.

The final member of the team is Eamonn Synnott, who is Ross & Conor’s dad. Eamonn is also crazy about football and played in the League of Ireland.

Can either team make it to the top of the prize ladder?

“I’ve Got Your Back”, Thursday, 21st April at 5pm on RTÉ2.
