VOGUE WILLIAMS – WILDGIRLS is a provocative series that takes her into contact with some of the world’s toughest women; women whose lives are unconventional, dangerous and lived on the edge.
In Episode 2 FIERCE GIRLS Vogue meets Irish Women who ‘Fight To Thrive’ – the tough, ambitious women making inroads on the male-dominated MMA and Boxing Fight Circuits. Vogue turns sparring partner for MMA fighter Catherine ‘The Alpha Female’ Costigan as she prepares for the biggest fight of her career at the Invicta Female Fight Night in Las Vegas. She enters the ring with Christina McMahon, Ireland’s only female Professional Boxer and current WBC World Bathamweight Champion. Vogue also shadows MMA Champion Amanda English who juggles her training schedule with a career as a Garda Forensic Scientist and she also follows the progress of two Irish teenage MMA hopefuls, Maya and Shenda – 17 year old Shenda moving towards her first full pro fight, and 15 year old Maya entering the ring in front of a baying fight-night audience for the very first time.
