With RTÉ Radio 1 as the official Rugby World Cup 2015 radio broadcaster in Ireland, the National Dairy Council will secure a presence around all of this output for the duration of the Rugby World Cup 2015. RTÉ Radio 1 will have exclusive live coverage of all of Ireland’s Rugby World Cup 2015 games as well as the World Cup Final itself.

In addition the NDC sponsorship will also be across Rugby World Cup 2015 coverage on RTÉ Digital and encompasses RTÉ2’s broadcast of Ireland’s Rugby World Cup 2015 warm up games in August and September.

Dermot Rigley, Commercial Manager, RTÉ Media Sales, commented “Offering cut-through across all platforms under one brand is RTÉ’s unique offering to the market.  Rugby World Cup 2015 remains on RTÉ Radio and the National Dairy Council has secured a powerful association with our Rugby World Cup coverage. Incorporating Ireland’s warm up games, this deal is now across all of RTÉ’s market-leading platforms – RTÉ television, RTÉ radio, RTÉ Player and RTÉ.ie. This partnership is a great endorsement of RTÉ Sport’s output and its powerful audience reach and we’re delighted to welcome the National Dairy Council on board”.

National Dairy Council Chief Executive Zoë Kavanagh explained that “The exclusive sponsorship plays a central role in the NDC’s ‘Win with Dairy’ autumn marketing campaign which builds on the association with NDC rugby ambassadors Rob & Dave Kearney and highlights the positive role that milk can play in sports nutrition.”
