Thank GAA It’s Friday is back on your screens for another summer packed with GAA goodness. Episode 5 comes to you on Friday, July 31st on RTÉ2 at 8:30pm with features on the first two All-Ireland Football Quarter-Finals and the last of the football qualifiers.

The show’s creators bring you the complete weekly GAA package; containing characters, games, fascinating stories and communities both at home and abroad.

Kildare’s impressive victory over the Rebels last weekend has brought Jason Ryan’s charges to another quarter-final, this time against Kerry. Paul Cribbin, star of the Lilywhites’ win over Cork, gets some tips from Kildare legend Willie McCreery at his racing yard on how to dethrone the Kingdom.

In the other quarter-final, underdogs Fermanagh travel to Croke Park to face Dublin. The Ernesider’s Corrigan family have played a huge role in the county’s past and present. Dominic was a key player for sides in the 80s and 90s and his sons Tomás and Ruairí are influential characters in their latest fairytale. We catch up with the boys as the travel from their home to county training.

After losing to Monaghan in the Ulster final, Donegal’s Odhrán Mac Niallais braves the elements in the shadow of Mount Errigal ahead of their clash with Galway. The Gweedore man hopes that their back door base camp can see them re-launch an assault on Sam.

Wexford camogie star Deirdre Codd has battled to get her fellow sportswomen noticed but the 4-time All Ireland winner knows it will be a marathon, not a sprint, to gain equal footing with her male counterparts. She talks about her family’s other passion, greyhounds, as well as Wexford in 2015 and women in sport.

We also tackle the subject of violence in the GAA. The topic has come to the fore in recent weeks following the unsavoury reports around the pre-match incident in a recent challenge match between Dublin and Armagh. But has it always featured too heavily in the GAA? We put the questions to a collection of GAA stars to see what got their blood boiling in the past.

So join us on Friday 31st July at 8:30pm on RTÉ2 for another action packed show. The show will be repeated at the weekend before The Sunday Game on RTÉ2 at 1pm.
