The authorities in Denmark believe that up to 100 of its citizens are fighting in Syria and Iraq. After Belgium, Denmark has produced more jihadi fighters per head of population than any other western European nation.

The Mayor of Denmark’s second city, Aarhus, believes a de-radicalisation project set up to deal with those who come back is producing positive results. It’s been attracting attention from across Europe. Tim Mansel talks to the people involved in the so-called Aarhus Model.
