Anna Geary announced as coach for series three of Ireland’s Fittest Family as families are called to enter

The Cork Camogie champion is no stranger to competition and says she will be pushing her families far beyond their limits. ‘I don’t care about being popular. I’m there to win, and I’ll be making sure they are too.’

Anna says she’ll do whatever it takes to get results, examining diet, mental fitness, trust issues and leadership roles within the family unit. ‘Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind, it might seem harsh at the time when you’re roaring at someone who’s under pressure, but if they get the results at the end of the day that’s all that matters

The pressure will be on Anna to make sure she doesn’t become the first female coach not to win the title after both Nikki Symmons and Derval O’Rourke lead their two families to glory in the first two series. Anna is looking forward to psyching out the other coaches, in particular Davy Fitzgerald. ‘I have a few tricks up my sleeve for Davy. I’m not there to make friends, I’m there to win’

The series is set to be filmed over the summer with 12 of Ireland’s Fittest Families competing for the €15,000 prize and the coveted title of Ireland’s Fittest Family.
