THE WORKS –PROGRAMME 10

FRIDAY 3rd APRIL / RTÉ ONE / 8:30PM

FILM REVIEW:  WHILE WE’RE YOUNG

When New York 40-something couple Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts befriend 20-somethings Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried, the older man starts to re-live something of his youth. It doesn’t hurt that Driver is an aspiring film-maker and fan of Stiller’s credentials in the same field. But that hero-worship isn’t all it seems, and before long, director Noah Baumbach’s comedy veers into something altogether more complex.

Novelist Sara Baume and Irish Times journalist Patrick Freyne join John Kelly to review.

 MUSIC: JOAN AS POLICEWOMAN

Sinéad Gleeson interviews indie singer-songwriter Joan Wasser, aka Joan As Policewoman.
