GLIONDAR – HONEY BEE HEAVEN (Beekeeping)
We hate the sting but love the honey! The Honey Bee is a fascinating creature upon which Einstein claimed life as we know it on this planet depends. With our environment under more and more pressure, we take a look at what goes on inside the hive and get a glimpse behind the veils and smokers of bee-keepers around Ireland. Their craft and passion in working with our native honey bee is tested and celebrated at the National Honey Show in Gormanston every year where over 400 bee-keepers gather from far and wide.
