GLIONDAR – A CLASSIC AFFAIR
Danny and Maura Cronin have discovered the secret to a long and happy marriage: it is their shared love of vintage cars. This Cork couple are among thousands of enthusiasts who take to the roads of Ireland every weekend to show off their beautiful vehicles. Members of the Muskerry Vintage Club, like Danny and Maura spend, their weekdays under car bonnets rebuilding, rewiring and rechecking engines while car bodies are lovingly washed, polished and plumped in preparation for the Car Runs. These outings allow cars to be shown off at their shiny best. Copious amounts of sandwiches and tea are consumed and new arrivals are eyed enviously. We follow members of the Muskerry Vintage Club in West Cork to find out why they eat, sleep and breathe vintage cars, and to unravel the mystery that brings this unique community together.
