Inniu, beidh Iris Aniar á chraoladh beo ó cheartlár chathair na dTreabh, áit a bhfuil Féile Ealaíon Idirnáisiúnta na Gaillimhe ar bun. Bunaíodh an fhéile i 1978, agus ó shin i leith bíonn daoine ag tarraingt ar chathair na Gaillimhe i mí Iúil le freastal ar na himeachtaí, agus le blaiseadh den atmaisféar a bhíonn sa chathair nuair atá an fhéile ar siúl. I 2013, d’fhreastail 165,000 duine ar an bhféile, agus beidh súil leis an méid céanna arís i mbliana. Inniu, beidh foireann an chláir ag caitheamh súil ar chlár imeachtaí na bliana seo agus ag caint le cuid acu siúd atá páirteach ann.
Today, Iris Aniar will be broadcasting live from the heart of Galway city where the Galway International Arts Festival is taking place. The festival was established in 1978, and draws crowds to the City of the Tribes every July to attend events, and to experience the wonderful atmosphere in the city during the festival. In 2013, 165,000 people attended events at the festival, and it would be hoped that 2014 will see an equal or greater attendance. On Iris Aniar today, the programme team will be looking at the programme of events, and talking to some of those involved in this year’s festival, live from Galway.
