Mar chuid den chlár inniu cloisfimid an chéad mhír i ndráma nua raidió ‘Na Semples’ a bheidh le cloisteáil faoi thrí ar RnaG gach seachtain.  Gach Máirt agus Déardaoin beidh mír ón dráma le cloisteáil ar Rónán Beo @3 agus beidh mír eile le cloisteáil ag an deireadh seachtaine.  Scéal ‘Na Semples’ a bheidh á ríomh sa dráma seo, scríofa ag Breandán Ó hEaghra.  Teipeann ar ghnó Aindí Semple, agus glacann an banc seilbh ar theach an teaghlaigh i mBaile Átha Cliath.  Socraíonn siad aistriú siar go Conamara, go Camus, chun cónaí le muintir Bhridie, a bhean chéile, fad agus go bhfuil an seanteach á réiteach dóibh thiar.  Dráma grinn, ar stíl fáisnéise bréige, a leanann eachtraí Aindí Semple agus é ag iarraidh saol nua a réiteach dá theaghlach.

As part of the programme today we will hear the first installment in a new radio drama ‘The Semples’ which will be broadcast over 3 episodes every week on RnaG.  Every Tuesday and Thursday Rónán Beo @3 will include an episode from the play, and another episode will also be broadcast every weekend.  The Semples are a family from Dublin.  Father Andy Semple, runs his own business which has gone bust and their house has been repossessed by the bank in Dublin.  They decide to relocate to the west, where Bridie, Andy’s wife is from, in Camus, Connemara.  There, they will be staying with her family while an old house is refurbished for them.  The series, in the style of mock documentary, follows Andy Semple’s efforts to set up a new life for his family.
