OPERA NIGHT AND TALES FROM THE OPERA

This weekend on lyric, a chance to hear two interpretations of the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice about the power of love, loss and the power of music.

On Opera Night (Saturday 7pm) Bernard Clarke looks at René Jacob’s recording of Telemann’s Orpheus, a score that was only rediscovered in the late 20th century while we return to Gluck’s iconic interpretation in the company of Liz Nolan on Tales from the Opera on Sunday at 7pm.
