Robbie Brady, Seamus Coleman and James McCarthy have all been shortlisted for the 3/FAI Young Player of the Year Award while Kevin Doyle, Keith Andrews and James McCarthy have been nominated for the 3/FAI Senior International Player of the Year Award.
Three players who helped Sligo to the domestic League title are nominated for player Airtricity Player of the Year – Jason McGuinness, Mark Quigley and Danny Ventre are the nominees.
Three goals have been nominated for the 3/FAI International Goal of the Year and again this year the public will be able to vote for their favourite goal by logging on to www.rte.ie.tv/competitions. The nominees are; Marc Wilson’s strike against the Faroes (Oct 16 2012), Robbie Brady’s debut goal for Ireland against Oman (Sep 11 2012), while Kevin Doyle is nominated for his vital strike against Kazakhstan back at the start of the Worod Cup qualifying campaingn (Sept 7, 2012)
Among the awards being presented at the special ceremony, a former Republic of Ireland great will also be inducted into the FAI’s Hall of Fame while there will also be a Special Merit Award, both of which will be announced at the event.
